Wholesale chain link fence supply for contractors in Virginia and North Carolina.

Fence-U supplies complete chain link systems — framework, fabric, fittings, and gates — from Master Halco spec lines, with contractor pricing through a commercial account. If you install chain link for a living, this page is your order sheet.

The system

What a complete chain link order includes

Framework

Line posts, terminal posts, and top rail sized to fence height and wind load. Heavier schedules for gate and corner posts.

Fabric

Galvanized and polymer-coated mesh in the common commercial gauges and heights, ordered by the roll.

Fittings & Hardware

Tension bands, brace bands, rail ends, caps, tension bars and wire — matched to the framework you order so nothing is missing at install.

Gates

Standard swing and rolling gate packages, plus custom-fabricated gates for non-standard openings through our metal shop.

What gauge chain link do commercial projects use?

Most commercial and industrial perimeter work is quoted with 9-gauge fabric — it is the standard for durability against daily wear, equipment contact, and fence-line abuse. Residential and light-duty jobs commonly run 11 or 11½-gauge, and high-security or heavy industrial sites step up to 6-gauge. Heights run from 3 feet up to 12 feet for standard systems, with barbed-wire-ready terminal hardware available for secure perimeters.

If a bid spec calls out a coating class or ASTM standard, match it from the manufacturer documentation — the Master Halco spec sheets in our resource library carry the fabric, framework, and coating data engineers and inspectors ask for.

Galvanized or polymer-coated — which should you quote?

Galvanized fabric and framework is the workhorse: lowest cost, longest track record, right answer for utility, industrial, and most commercial perimeter jobs. Polymer-coated systems (typically black or green over a galvanized core) are the spec for schools, parks, apartment communities, and anywhere the fence has to disappear into the property line. Both come through our Master Halco supply lines with matching fittings, so a color job doesn’t mean mixing suppliers.

Does Fence-U supply temporary fencing and gates too?

Yes. Temporary panel systems for jobsites and events are part of our product lineup, and gates run from standard walk and drive packages to fully custom fabrication. Non-standard opening, cantilever slide, or an operator-ready commercial entrance — our metal shop quotes custom gates per project for approved accounts.

Where does Fence-U deliver chain link?

We serve contractors, builders, and commercial buyers across Virginia and North Carolina from our Virginia Beach office, with project-based supply for municipal, institutional, and private work throughout both states. Order coordination runs through your commercial account rep, so repeat projects reorder without re-quoting from scratch.

What drives wholesale chain link pricing?

Five inputs move the number: fabric gauge and coating, fence height, framework schedule, gate count, and total footage. Steel is a commodity, so market pricing moves — which is exactly why account holders quote against current contractor pricing instead of a stale retail sheet. Send the take-off — run length, heights, terminal and gate locations, and any coating or spec callouts — and the quote comes back as a complete system, priced once, ready to bid.
